The Cambodian Premier League's Statement of Principles, a charter of values and behaviors that the league expects to uphold, outlines nine key principles guiding ethical conduct and professionalism:
Integrity
Every person working for or representing the league is expected to conduct themselves with absolute integrity and the avoidance of conflict of interest. The key attributes include being honest, reliable, professional, and trustworthy. Such integrity must be reflected both internally (among colleagues) and externally (with clubs, partners, fans, public, and all related stakeholders).
Compliance
All individuals involved with the league, including employees, officials, agents, and representatives, must abide by local and international laws with consistent and lawful behavior across the organization. Compliant with the laws, policies, and regulations of FIFA, AFC, and FFC alike.
No Harassment or Discrimination
A respectful, inclusive, and professional environment is ensured to provide for all stakeholders, staff, and participants. It covers a broad range of protected characteristics, including sex, race, religion, disability, sexual orientation, and gender identity, among others. This principle reinforces the League's commitment to equal treatment, mutual respect, and safeguarding dignity across the organization and all its activities.
Safeguarding
Football must be a safe, inclusive environment for all. Prevention of abuse and harm is prioritized, and awareness and empowerment are critical tools. Players, staff, parents, and officials are responsible for protecting children and vulnerable adults, and the Cambodian Premier League is committed to creating an environment to help others.
Compete Fairly (Anti Corruption)
This principle ensures that all decisions and relationships are based solely on merit, protecting the fairness and credibility of the league as a whole. The commitment to professionalism, fairness, and integrity is our priority. There is no offering or accepting of gifts, hospitality, or inducements that could influence decisions. Good governance is the structural perspective that the Cambodian Premier League upholds to avoid all kinds of conflict of interest, for the betterment of the league and the interests of all fans.
Health and Safety
Health and safety are treated as essential, not optional. The league acknowledges its legal and moral responsibility of duty of care for everyone involved in its operations.
Modern Slavery
The Cambodian Premier League adopts a zero-tolerance approach to any form of modern slavery. We are committed to effective systems and controls to prevent slavery within our operations and supply chains. Modern slavery includes slavery, servitude, forced/compulsory labour, and human trafficking—all involving deprivation of liberty for exploitation.
Data Protection
The principle ensures the league not only adheres to legal requirements like GDPR but also fosters trust through transparency, clear communication, and rigorous standards, especially when handling sensitive or personally identifiable information. Players and related persons are protected under a specific privacy policy covering tracking data, images, and personal/biometric details collected during matches.
Whistleblowing
This principle ensures that anyone associated with the league feels empowered and safe to speak up, helping maintain trust, transparency, and ethical conduct across the organization. Openness and accountability are central to preventing and addressing misconduct. Raising concerns is encouraged, no matter how minor or major, about breaches of principles, laws, or ethical codes.
