Head coach Mr. Long Rithea , Visakha Football Club delivered an impressive performance to claim the Cambodian Development League title for the 2025/26 season for the first. Meanwhile, ISI Dangkor Senchey FC finished as runners-up after a highly competitive 10 weeks.

Head coach Long Rithea  expressed his pride in the achievement and praised the dedication and hard work of all players who contributed to this meaningful success for the club.

Purpose of the Cambodian Development League:
The organising committee, the league is created with four main purposes: 1. Opportunities for young players – Give playing time to footballers under 22 years old and those who rarely play in the Cambodian Premier League (CPL). 2. Developing U18 players – Allow players under 18 to compete against senior teams, helping them strengthen their skills and gain experience. 3. Preparing for the SEA Games – Focusing on U22 players, the competition builds stronger talent for Cambodia’s future national team. 4. Training match officials – Give referees and other officials more opportunities to gain experience and improve their abilities. 

The 2025/26 CDL season, six clubs took part: ISI Dangkor Senchey, Kandal United, Lion King, MOI Kompong Dewa, Phnom Penh Crown, and Visakha.
