Week 9: Kelly, man of the match, helps Boeung Ket draw Visakha at 90+6 minutes
After Oluoch Benson made a mistake and received a yellow card, Kelly Sean Brogan took his place to take the free kick in the 90+6 minute. He scored a stunning goal that allowed Boeung Ket to equalize against Visakha, leaving more than 1,400 fans in the stadium feeling unbelievable.
From the very start, Visakha applied strong pressure on Boeung Ket. In the 2nd minute, Park Jung Bin delivered a pass to Lim Pisoth, but his shot from the corner of the box narrowly missed the target. Visakha continued to dominate possession and attack their opponent until the 13th minute, when Ouk Sovan took a corner kick. However, Captain Kan Mo’s header once again failed to find the target.
Both teams kept putting pressure on each other until the 32nd minute, when Boeung Ket took the lead 1-0. Mat Noron received the ball from a distance and decided to take a shot. Luckily for him, his strike went straight into the net as Visakha’s goalkeeper, Keo Soksela, couldn’t stop it.
Visakha tried to find their first goal, but efforts from Nana Kwame Oppong, Park Jung Bin, and Breno Caetano De Souza were all denied by Boeung Ket’s goalkeeper, Koy Salim. Both teams kept creating chances until the 86th minute, when Visakha’s Ouk Sovan delivered a corner kick that was headed on target by Benson Oluoch that led to Visakha drawing Boeung Ket 1-1.
After the 90th minute, six minutes were added to the game. During that time, Park Jung Bin scored a goal to make it 2-1 for Visakha. A few minutes later, Benson made a mistake, and the referee gave Boeung Ket a free kick. Kelly took the shot and scored, helping Boeung Ket draw 2-2 with Visakha—a result that surprised more than 1,400 fans in the stadium.
